Notes :—The injury is however multiplied according to specifications, options and accumulations. The varieties of living creatures are innumberable so the varieties of injury multiply. This procedure is applied equally to falsehood, theft, adultery, and appropriation.
These perverse considerations have endless painful consequences. The man doing injury has to suffer pain in health and in taking bodies of animals and departed spirits and such other forms so the cultivation of the opposites is essential.
હિંસાદિના ભેદ-પ્રભેદ–
“હિંસા, અસત્ય વગેરેને “વિતક' સંજ્ઞા આપવામાં આવી છે. એ પ્રત્યેકના (હિંસા આદિના) સતાવીશ ભેદ પડે છે. જેમકે-ધથી, લેભથી તથા મોહથી હિંસા કરવી, કરાવવી અને અનુમોદવી, એમ હિંસાના નવ ભેદો થાય છે. હવે તે નવ ભેદવાળી હિંસાના મૃદુ, મધ્યમ અને તીવ્ર એમ ત્રણ વિભાગો પડવાથી હિંસાના સતાવીશ ભેદો પડે છે. વળી તે પ્રત્યેક સતાવીશ ભેદેના મૃદુ, મધ્યમ અને તીવ્ર એમ ત્રણ ભેદે થતાં એકાશી ભેદ પડે છે.”—-૭૧, ૭ર.
ભાવાર્થ. * ૧ ક્રોધથી મૃદુ હિંસા કરવી, ૨ ક્રોધથી મધ્યમ હિંસા કરવી, ૩ કેધથી તીવ્ર હિંસા કરવી, ૪ લોભથી મૂદુ હિંસા કરવી, ૫ લેભથી મધ્યમ હિંસા કરવી ૬ લેભથી તીવ્ર હિંસા કરવી, ૭મેહથી મૃદુ હિંસા કરવી, ૮ મેહથી મધ્યમ હિંસા કરવી, ૯ મેહથી તીવ્ર હિંસા કરવી.
