અધ્યાત્મતત્ત્વાલક. [ ગ્રીonce sat to dine, but on remembering his vow left the dish and went to the temple where the guardian deity being pleased asked to propose a boon for him. After consulting his wife he went to the deity and l'equested him to favour him with proper discrimination. Thus blessed he began to see things in their proper light and then took the vow of limiting his property and became an object of respect everywhere and at last after cleath he became a denizen of heaven.
ગૃહસ્થને માટે પરિગ્રહપરિમાણ –
ગૃહસ્થલેકે (મુનિજની પેઠ ) અપરિગ્રહવત ધારણ કરવાને સમર્થ નથી, એ માટે તેઓએ પરિગ્રહનું પરિમાણ કરવું જોઈએ. પરિગ્રહનું પરિમાણ પણ આશાના વધતા વેગને રોકનારું છે”—ર. परिग्रहप्रचारस्तृष्णाप्रचारहेतुः-- परिग्रहस्याऽस्खलितपचारे तृष्णा प्रचार लभते नितान्तम् । ततो जनः पोत इवाम्बुराशौ भवे निमज्जेदिति चिन्तनीयम् ॥६३॥
We should bear in mind that greed obtains unlimited hold on the mind of a man if covetousness be unrestrained. A man is undone in the ocean of the world just as a boat ( overloaded ) sinks down in the ocean. ( 63 )
પરિગ્રહનું પૂર તૃષ્ણાને ફેલાવે છે— - “ સમજી રાખવું જોઈએ કે-પરિગ્રહને અખલિત પ્રચાર થવાથી તૃષ્ણનો પ્રવાહ ખૂબ જોરથી વહેવા માંડે છે, અને એથી સમુદ્રમાં નાવની જેમ પ્રાણી સંસારમાં ડૂબી જાય છે”—૬૩.
