Ashtanga Yoga.
( Shlokas 131. ) The word Yoga is derived from yuj (95) to join and means conjunction or absorption and the Yoga Shastra is the same which treats of the process of achieving this result.
To understand the nature of Yoga, one must understand the nature of man and of Universe. As is stated elsewhere, Jain philosophy divides the Universe into two main classes; Jiva and Ajiva.
