I knew Mr. Lallubhai Motichand Mehta perfectly well ever since he served as an attache in the Judicial Department after passing his LL. B. Examination. I found him to be a promising young man & was much pleased with the way in which he studied and grasped the facts of all the cases and appeals he was asked to attend to.
His manners were very sweet and suasive and above all he always tried to consider both sides of case ably, impartially, as well as with care. and circumspection.
I could at once see that he had in him the makings of a good Judge and I am glad to testify my anticipations were more than fulfilled by the excellent manner in which he discharged his duties as a judge from the beginning to the end of his career.
