As the name signifios, this Upanişad treats of the one syllable 3714, which, it is declared, manifests the attributes, such as the immortality, omnipotence and unity of the Supremo Soul. Beginning:
सह नाववत्विति शान्तिः.
एकाक्षरं त्वक्षरेतोऽसि सोमे सुषुम्नया चेह दृढी न एकः । त्वं विश्वभूर्भूतपतिः पुराणः पर्जन्य एको भुवनस्य गोप्ता । विश्वे निमग्नः पदवीः कवीनां त्वञ्जातवेदो भुवनस्य नाथः ।
End:
___ त्वं भूर्भुवस्स्वस्त्वं हि स्वयंभूरथ विश्वतोमुरवः । य एवं नित्यं वेदयते गुहाशयं प्रभुं पुराणं सर्वभूतं हिरण्मयम् । हिरण्मयं बुद्धिमतां परां गतिं स बुद्धिमान् बुद्धिमतीत्य तिष्ठतीत्युपनिषत् ।। Colophon:
