An answer should be given after thinking well, no where one should speak at once. Imitate the good qualities even of an enemy and reject the bad ones even of the teacher.
खादन् न गच्छेद् अध्वानं न च हास्येन भाषणम् । शोकं न कुर्यान नष्टस्य स्वकृतेरपि जल्पनम् ॥
रास्ते चलते नहि खाना चाहिए और न ठढे से बात करना । वरवाद हुए का शोक और अपने किए हुए की तारीफ न करना चाहिए
Do not go about eating. Don't talk laughing. Don't be sorry for what is lost. Don't prattle of your own good deeds.
अधमा धनमिच्छन्ति धनमानौ हि मध्यमाः । उत्तमा मानमिछन्ति मानो हि महतां धनम् ॥
छोटे लोग धन चाहते हैं। वीच के धन और इज़्ज़त दोनो चाहते हैं। भरले जोग इज़ज़त वा आदर चाहते हैं क्योंकि वड़ो का धन जगत है
The low long for wealth, the middling for wealth and honour, the high for honour, for honour is the wealth of the great.
वने ऽपि सिंहा न नमन्ति कर्ण विभुक्षिताः स्वल्पनिरीक्षणं च । धनविहीनाः सुकुलेषु जाता
न नीचकर्माणि समारभन्ते ॥ जंगल में शेर भूखे होने पर छोटे लोगों की बस्तु पर ध्यान महि देते .. मच्छे कुल में पैदा हुए लोग नीच काम नहि करते
Lions tho' hungry do not stoop to take what is insignificant. Tho' poor, men of good family never do . a mean thing.
