VOL. IV. The Zend-Avesta.
Translated by JAMES DARMESTETER. Part I. The Vendîdâd. 8vo, cloth, ios. 6d. The Zend-Avesta contains the relics of what was the religion of Cyrus, Darius, and Xerxes, and, but for the battle of Marathon, might have become the religion of Europe. It forms to the present day the sacred book of the Parsis, the so-called fire-worshippers. Two more volumes will complete the translation of all that is left us of Zoroaster's religion.
