Different editions of the work have been published under the title Viśvakarma prakāśa (Litho-Siddhavinayaka yantra, Benares; Venkatesvar Steam Machine Press. Bombay, 1922). Other MSS of the work are described in L. II. 552, IO. V. 3139. The colophons in the MS usually refer to the work as Vāstusāstra, only the last colophon mentioning the name Viśvakarma prakāśa which is attributed to Brahman. This is different from Visvakarmiyasilpa (L. II. 731). For summaries of the contents of both the works cf. Indian Architecture according to Mānasārasilpaśāstra by P. K. Acharya (pp. 96–9).
