Character, Bengali of the early 18th century. Appearance, old and injured, specially the last few leaves of which the right-hand side has gone off. Complete. Generally the writing is effaced.
Bhattotpala's commentary on Bịhajjātaka, which is entitled Jagaccintāmaņi, and his commentary on the abridgement of the work, which is called Sisyahitā, are well known. But the present commentary, entitled Harsakarī, by Bhattotpala is to be differentiated from them. The commentary is a compressed one on Byhajjātaka with all the 25 chapters. The 26th, Upasamhārādhyāya, is generally omitted and is omitted in the present MS. too. It somewhat agrees in the beginning with the Sisyahita commentary on Laghujātaka. But it is evidently a distinct work. Laghujātaka is complete in 13 chapters only. It begins :
प्रणिपत्य महादेवं भुवनगुरुं भास्कर लोकेशम् । भट्टोत्यलेन लघुतरां जातकटीका करोति हर्षकरीम् ॥
