Rājendralūla in his No. 47 quotes the beginning of the text and the end of the commentary and attributes the whole to Bhattotpala.
The text begins thus :
यश्चक्षुर्जगतः सहसकरवद्धानां च धामार्कव
मोक्षद्वारमयावृतं च रविवर्द्धान्तान्तकृत् सूर्यवत् । आत्मा सर्वशरीरिणां सविटवत्तिग्मांशुकालकृत्
साध्वौं नः स गिरं करोतु सविता योन्यैरतुल्योपमः ॥ १ ॥ वक्ष्यामि भूपमधिकृत्य गुणोपपन्न
विज्ञातजन्मसमयं प्रविभक्तभाग्यम् । अज्ञातसृतिमथवा विदितैष्यभाग्यं
सामुद्रयात्रिकनिर्मितशतैः पृथक् तैः ॥ २ ॥
