The Ms. cotaintains ślokas to explain the procedure of worshipping Visnu as सगुणब्रह्म (Qualified Brahman) and निर्गुणब्रह्म (Unqualified Brahman) according to the rules and regulations of Dharmaśāstra.

The Ms. contains a collection of various topics of Smști, such as तर्पण, आहिक, etc., and perhaps this is why the colophon indicates that the work may be called by the name of Śāstrasamuccaya. The collection was made by a junior scholar (लघुपण्डित), it seems. The Ms. ends abruptly. It is mostly damaged and pasted all through. Beginning :
ब्राह्म मुहर्ते उत्थाय संस्मरेत् पुरुषोत्तमं । [शङ्ख?]चक्रगदापनः किरीटायश्च भूषितम् ॥
End :
द्वाविंशतिरुत्पत्तौ भ्रमणेष्वेकविशति ।
