33. VARA DĀRYA KAVI. He was the son of Appayarya of Atreyagotra. He is the author of Anangajivanabbana (No. 4572) Appayārya or Appa. yācarya was well-known as Srlaivāsācîrya the nephew of Tátayårya. The author was the paternal uncle of Venkatācārya who wrote the Vißvaguņådarkacampū. The author's grandfather's name is also Varada or Varadaguru. He is also reputed to be the author of Jå nakfråghavam (which was composed at the request of Velikoţi Sangabbūpāla son of Kastūriranga parapati) Kärikädarpaņa and Srstutivyäkbyå.
34. KUMĀRATĀ'TĀCĀRYA. He is the author of Pårijátāpaharana, (No. 4381). He was the son of Venkuţicārya and grandson of Srinivasaguru of Sathamarqanagotra.
35. RAGHUNĀTEA NĀYAK. He was the foremost soveriegn of the Näyak Princes. He was a profound scholar himself and had the greatest regard for scholars who were növer starved for want of patronage from bim. "Govinda Dikpita continued to be minister under him aan contributed to the unrivalled prosperity of the principality of Tanjore under this reign. He is the author of Rámāyarasāra. sangraba (Nos. 9467-9) and Bbáratasarasangraha (No. 8676). He is also reputed to be the author of Parijataharana, Nalabhyadaya, and Acyatābhyudaya. Very many scholars of rapate flourished during this period. Among them mention may here be made of Govinda dikşita, Yejñanārāyapa díkşita, Venkateś. wara diksita, Rijs cūņāmaņi dikgita, Kumaratātācārys and Bbās. kara dikaita.
36. YEJNANĀRĀYANA DIKSITA.
He is the son of the famous Govinda dikşita. He was the disciple of Raghunatha Nayak. He was patronised by the same Niyak ruler and became a minister after his father,
