Advaita Vedanta. He was the court pandit and minister ander successive Nayak princes of Tanjore, Achyuta Nayak and Raghunatha Nayak. He is the father of the great Venkateswaramakhi, the preceptor of Nilakantha Diksita. Govinda's second son is the great Yegñanarayaṇadikṣita, the author of the Sahityaratnākara.
Govindadikṣita has written a famous commentary on the Kaumariladarsana. He is also the author of the Sangitasudhā. nidhi written in collaboration with King Raghunatha Nayak.
The great intimacy and regard prevailing between Achyuta Nayak and his favorite minister Govindadikṣita is well testified to by the following couplet.
त्रिनामाद्यन्तनामौ महीक्षिहीक्षितावुभौ ।

12. GOVINDA MANTRIN.
He is different from Govinda Dikṣita and is the author of Hariva msasaracarita (No. 3742) on which Appaya Dikṣita has written a commentary. He was minister of Kondappa Nayak, a viceroy of the Vijayanagar dynasty and belongs to the Sandilyagotra.
13. GĪRVĀṆENDRASARASVATI,
He is the author of Prapancasarasarasangraha (No. 17637) He was the teacher of Nrsimhasramin and contemporary of Raghunathaśramin. He is also the revered teacher of Nilakantha dikaita and Bodhendrayati.
14. SVAYAMPRAKASAYATI.
He is the author of Rasabhivyañjika (No. 7637-41) a commentary on Advaitamakaranda. He mentions Girvanendra among his gurus.
15. NṚSIMHASRAMIN.
He was the disciple of Jagannathaśramin. He has written many works of great value in Vedanta etc. He is the author of Ratnakosa (No. 7065) a commentary on the Pañcapadika, Tattvabodhini (No. 7127) a commentary on the Sankṣepasariraka of Akhandananda, Advaiṭādīpikā (No. 7484) undertaken at the com
