करकृतमपराधं क्षन्तुमर्हन्ति सन्त: । हरिः ॐ । शुभमस्तु । श्रीकृष्णाय नमः। धर्मपुत्रादिभगवद्भक्तेभ्यो
नमः । श्रीवेदव्यासाय नमः । श्रीशेषाद्रिणा स्वहस्तेन लिखितम् । This work is identical with the Vaişpavadharmaparva contained in the Kumbakonum editicn of the Asramed bika Parva of the Mahābhërata. Chapters 98 to 118 of that edition fully correspond to this manuscript which names the work
गौतमीयवैष्णवधर्म: In this manuscript, ths interlooutors are वैष्णवा: and गौतमः whereas in the Mahabharata जनमेजयः and वैशम्पायन: are the interlecutors. In most of the Mss. representing the Northern Recension, this portion is completely omitted in the Asvamedhika parya whereas most of the Mes. representing the Sonthern Rocension contain this portion. Vadiraja, one of the earliest commentators on the Ma. habbárata culls Pratskas from this portion in his common. tary on the above parvas. For a detailed discussion, see the introduction to Voi.
