This commentary is by Rāghavendratirtha a disciple of Sudbindra who was a contemporary cf Raghunatha Nayak the third Nāyak ruler of Tanjore who flourished in the latter part of 10th and foriner part of the 17th century. This work is published with a glogs at Balgaum and Bombay in 1910. There is a poem called Bāghavendra Vijaya in which the poet Nārāyaṇa describes the life of this author and his various religious fights in which he came out victorious. He was a contemporary of Emperor Venkatapatirāya of Vijayanagar and Raghunātha Nayak of Tanjore. So he may be assigned to the latter part of 16th and early part of the 17th centuries. The Guruparampara may thus be given as far as this author is concerned.
