This author in some colophons of this work calls himself Kandada Rāmānujācārya from which we are able to know that he is a South Indian Vaisnava Brahman. This Library possesses this commentary for the first six Kandas of the Kamāyaṇa. Dr. Barnell mistakes this for Rāmavarma's Tilaka and says that this is printed at Madras and Calcutta which is not the case.
