More than its being a commentary in the ordinary sense of the term this work is a study of the moral and religious teachings of the great Epic. The author, a younger brother of Nfsimha was a Minister of Sarabhoji Mahārāja I of Tanjore. This work is printed as No. 24 in the Sri Vāņi Viläs Sanskrit Series at Srirangam, but only ap to the end of Ayodhyakanda; The author lived in the earlier part of the 18th century.
