A DESCRIPTIVE CATALOGUB OF
This Mantra is in praise of Råma. It is said to be as effioaoious as the six-syllabled Rama-Mantra, and is intended to be repeated prior to the commencement of the repetition of the Ramamantra. This is called Rāmakilaka as it is believed to have the power to enable one to fix Rama iu ovo's mind as if with the aid of a peg.
Beginning: अगस्त्य उवाच
मन्त्ररूपं प्रवक्ष्यामि शृणु नारद तत्परः । अनलादिमकारान्तं मन्त्रं षर्णसंयुतम् ।। षडक्षरात्मक मन्त्रं तारकं ब्रह्ममंज्ञितम् । राजेन्द्र राघवं रामं राजानं रघुनन्दनम् ॥ राजीवलोचनं वन्दे राक्षसारिं रघूत्तमम् ।
रामभद्रं रघुवरं राजेशं रघुवल्लभम् ।। End:
महादेवाय महते महेशाय महात्मने । मन्त्ररूपाय रामाय महतां पतये नमः ॥ इति श्रीरामचन्द्रस्य मन्त्रराजात्मकं स्तवम् ।
एवं स्तुत्वा जपेन्मन्त्रं षट्सहस्रं दिने दिने ।
अष्टोत्तरसहसं वा यथाशक्त्यनुसारतः ।। Colophon:
