On the ceremonial touching of certain parts of the body, while repeating at the same time the series of the Mantra-formulas containing the successive letters of the alphabet introduced into the Srividya-mantra-formula in the natural as well as the reverse order. Beginning:
अथ विद्यान्यासः --
अस्य श्रीविद्यासम्पुटितमातृकान्यासस्य दक्षिणामूर्तिः ऋषिः. पतिश्छन्दः, श्रीमहात्रिपुरसुन्दरी देवता ; ऐं क ४ व्यञ्जनानि बीजानि, सौः स ३ स्वराश्शक्तयः, क्लीं ह ५ व्यक्तयः कीलकं, ममेष्टदेवता. प्रीतये विद्यासम्पुटिमातृकान्यासे विनियोगः ।
