Of the above works Prapañcāmsta sāra is a work of encyclopaedic character in the role of Spectator and is a criticism of men and things and attributed to Ekoji Rāja one of the rulers of Tanjore 1735-36 A. D. The most important in this section is one Srutisāra by Totaka the disciple of Sankara with a commentary (No. 7677.)
Section V. (7734-1773)
This section contains some small select works which are believed to be not yet printed and therefore they are printed in full for the first time for the benefit of the public.
Among the works in this seetion which are short but sweet Vedāntavārttikarājasangraha (No. 7736) by Sureśvara the disciple of Sankarácārya, deserves particular attention. It has to be remembered that in Vidyaraqya's Värttikasára, which is an abridgement of Sureśvara's Vārttikas, almost all these verses appear, though in a modified form. Upadešasikhāmaņi of Tyāgarāja, (No. 7746) is modelled after Sankara's Bhajagovindastotra. Vimalabrahmacarya the author ef Svātmānandastotra (No. 7742) is a local poet and a Mahratta Brahman and gives his Guru.
