This author is also called Gaydabrahmananda. He is said to bave commented on all the works of Madhusudanasarasvati. He was the disciple of another commentator of Madhubūdanasarasvati, Nārāyapatirtha by name, who flourished about 1790 A. D. Hence Brab mánanda should have flourished in the beginning of the 19th centary.
This commentary of his on the Advaitasiddhi is called Laghucandrika. It has beeg criticised in the Mädhva work Nyāyabhúskara and defended in the Vedanta work, Nya. yendasekhara by Tyagaraja.nakhin.
This work høs been printed in the Nirnayasāgan edition of the Advaitasiddhi. He is also the author of a running com. mentary on the Brabmasūtras called Brahmasūtranuktavall. Vide No. 7106, Vol. XII.
