This is a polemical work which establishes the sopremacy of the Advaita after successfully refating the several objec. tions raised by tbe Dvaitins.
The Advaitasiddni is the magnum opus of Madhüsüdanssarasvati and is considered as the crushing reply to Vyasaråjasvăwin's Nyåyåinsta. This latter author lived between 1448 & 1589 A. D. Madhusudana wrote his Advaitsratpsrakyaga as a criticism of Sankaramiéra's Bhedaratna, which in turn is a Naiyāyika's criticism of the Kbandanakbandakhádya Sankarainióra lived after 1529 A. D. Madhusūdana Sarasvati bas written a commentary on Bopadeva's Barilllaviveka and Appayyadikgita's Siddhintalebasaigraha. Thus he may be placed in the latter half of the 17th century A. D.
