________________ Shri Mahavir Jain Aradhana Kendra www.kobatirth.org Acharya Shri Kailassagarsuri Gyanmandir XVI The Phalavatl (No, 6805) is one of the rare commentaries on tho Sūtras, preserved in this library. Dr. Burnell went to the extent of suggesting that this may perhaps turn out to be the Vitti of Opavarpa, pow known to us only by danie, but it is only a fond conjecture. The founder of the one was Kumārila and that of the other Prabhākara, who is generally believed to be his pupil, though some doubt it. Of the extant worst of Kumārila the Tantravaittska alone is preserved in this library (Nos. 6770-86). The Tantravärttika is suppoved to be a commentary on the Bhänya of Sabarasvämin, (Iü to the end of lIIrd Adhyâya) but, is in fact, an independent For Private and Personal Use Only
