Still minor works, written more for the benefit of beginners are the Sabdasiddhanta Mañjari of Kodaṇḍarāma (No. 8894), the Prabodhacandriks (No. 5756) of Vaijalabhupati, written for his son, Ratnávali of Gauramohana (No. 5815) Laghusiddhantacandrika of unknown authorship (No. 5831) and the Balabodhini (Nos. 5759-5804) and the Balarañjant (Nos. 5805-8) of Balasūri. This last work needs some comment. Its author is Bāla. suri, in whose ownership there are so many Mss. in these Volumes. He was the protege of Sarabhoji IJ. and the son of Sega bhatta. The original rich collection of the Mss. of Sesabhata and Balabhatta have come down entirely into this library.

Among special dissertations, we have a lot noticed in the body of the catalogue and in the section, titled as 'miscellaneous.' Many works deal with particular sections like कारक and विभक्ति while some others deal with particular sutras. The Prayogavivekasangraha (Nos. 5757 & 5758) of Vararuci deals with Karakas. The work is in 25 Kārikas with a comment on them. The Vibhaktinirnaya (Nos. 5893-5885.) deals with declension. The Sabdarūpavali, represented by many Mss. (Nos. 5861-5898) is the very well known book of declensions of important words. 'The Vividakaumudi (No. 5886.). of Lalamani takes up some Sutras for discussion and the PañcapadIvivrti (No. 5711) is a commentary on a discussion on five grammatical forms. Further there are also tracts devoted to the examination of the correctness of single words and forms. One such is ingîàrā #z: ' (No. 5926) whose author is identical with the author of the Pañeapadi (No. 5711). In this class, special mention must be made of the work,
