The Bälabɔdhini of Balasuri consists of seven distinct parts. The following are the various divisione:

The author, Bála sūri, was a contemporary of Serfojee II, aon of Talajā, who reigned between 1765—1787 at Tanjore. Serfojee himself reigned between 1500 & 1832 A. D. and hence the author should have fiourished in the beginning of the 19th oentury.
