Colophon: इति श्रीकेशवदैवज्ञकृतौ नामकल्पद्रुमाख्यः कोशः सम्पूर्णतामगात् ॥
श्रीरेणुका जयतितराम् ।। श्रीत्रिपुरसुन्दर्यै नमः ।। विकृत्यब्दे शरयूर्जे राकायां शनिवासरे । लिखितः केशवः कोश: तक्षायां शिवसूरिणा ॥१॥

Remarks :--The Ms. is in good condition. After the colophon the following is given:
कोपो मैत्रावरुणेः शापो वा तार्किकस्य मुनेः । स्मृतिविषयो भवति यदा शोरपि मास्तु शक्रपदम् ॥ १ ॥ लम्बोदर तव नारदमादरतो न पूजयते ।
सोऽत्रिविश्वामित्रो दुर्वासा अपि गौतमो भवति ॥ २ ॥ The author of this Kosa, Keśava by name, flourished in the 1ith century. The work was couposed in A. D. 1880. Till recently there was some confusion regarding the identity of this Kesava with the author of the Nanarthirpavasamksepa, another lexicon by Keśava. After the publication of the Kalpadru koka in the Gaekwad Oriental Series, this confusion, it is believed, will cease. The other Kesava belonged to a much earlier period.
