अस्ति तत्रभवतो मौद्गल्यगात्रसमुद्भूतस्य महाकवेः भट्टश्रीवर्धमानतनूजन्मनः तन्तुमतीनन्दनस्य मुरारेः कृतिर भिनवमनर्घराघवं नाम नाटकम् । तत्प्रयुञ्जानाः सामाजिकानुपास्महे ॥

तथापीदमस्तु ॥ समुन्मीलमुक्तिस्तबकमकरन्दै। श्रवणयो
रविश्राम्यद्धारास्नपनमुपचिन्वन्तु कवयः । न शब्दब्रह्मोत्थं परिमलमनाघ्राय च जनः कवीनां गम्भीरे वचसि गुणदोषी रचयतु ।

This drama deals with the story of Räma. There are several editions of this work available, the most important being the Nirņayasāgara edition. Opioions vary regarding the date of the author. Dr. Keith and others place bim before Ratnākara (i.e.) in the middle of the 9th century. Bhattanāthasvāmin and others are inclined to refer him to the 11th century.
