________________ Shri Mahavir Jain Aradhana Kendra www.kobatirth.org Acharya Shri Kailassagarsuri Gyanmandir XLV PURURĀJAVAMSAKRAMA. In this anonymous work, (No. 4207) we find a list of the Puri. pic kings, beginning from Puri. The lisi fairly corresponds to the one found in the Mahābhārata, but in details of names a divergence is noticeable. The date of the compilation is not known. GOVINDANATHA. Ainong the Sankaravijayas preserved in this library, special mention may be made of the work of Govindanātha (No. 4208) which deals with the life of Sri Sankara in 9 chapters. It is likely that this Govindanātha is later than Vyásācala yati who too com: posed a Sankaravijaya. (Nos. 4209-10). PADMAGUPTA. Parimalakälidāsa, alias Padmagupta is the author of the Navasāhasāákacarita (No. 4214) a historical romance, published in the Bombay Sanskrit Series. It may be noted that the manuscript of this library was mainly utilized in publishing the text in that Series. Padmagupta was a contemporary of Muaja. alias Vākpati and the Calukya King Tailapa II. So he belongs to the end of the 10th contury A. D. and probably also to the beginning of the 11th century A. D. RĀJANĀTHA. Rājanātha's Acyutarāyābhyudaya Nos. (4216-19) is a historisal Kávya, dealing with the life of Acyutarāya, Emperor Vijayanagar in particular and the whole kingdom with its dependencies in general. It gives us a good idea of the conditions of South India in the 16th century. The author was a contemporary of Appayya Dikeita. For Private and Personal Use Only
