Nallădikşita, author of this work was a near kinsman and student of the famous Rämabhadra Dikoita. He seems to have been otherwise known as Bhūminātha Kavi. The work deals with the life of his patron, the famous Sāhaji who roigned at Tanjore between 1884-1710 A. D. Fittingly enough the author says that Sähaji was a modern Bboja, king of Dhärá.
