Govindanátha, the author of this Life of Sankarācārya, summarises in 9 chapters the well-known incidents of his life. The one important feature of this work is that it does not commit the mistake of identifying Sureśvara with Manda namišra.
The work does not seen to have been printed anywhere. It is good in style and composition and is therefore important. Of this rare work there is only ove manuscript svaiJable. The work does not appear to be available in any other
library.
