candra Dikgita was a scion of the family of the famous Ratnakhetasrinivasa Díkşita. He does not seem to have been far removed from Srinivasa. The latter part of the 17th century should have been the active priod of his literary career.
The work is in the form of a conversation between Vasiąjba and Viśvāmitra regarding the holiest and best of places in India. The author, probably a domicile in the Malabar country, regards Kerala as the best part of India.
