1627 केः कर्मब्रह्माश्वनीनस्य श्रीवीरभूपतिभूपालस्य मन्त्रिणा चिन्ना.
निन्दनेनादित्यदेवमञ्चपाचार्याप्रजन्मना चौण्डपाचार्येण विरचितायामापस्तम्बीयाध्वरतन्त्रस्वतन्त्रव्याख्यायां प्रयोगरत्नमालायां
तृतीये प्रभे षष्ठः पटलः ॥ श्रीदक्षिणामूर्तिगुरुचरणारविन्दयोरपितास्तु प्रयोगरनमाला ।।
समाप्तश्चायं तृतीयः प्रश्नः ।। Subject: Āpastain baśrautasūtravvākhyā, otherwise known
as Prayogaratpamālā--a commentary on these sütras
belonging to Black Yajur Veda. 1-3 Praśnas. Remarks:--The Ms. is in a very good condition. On the title page
is given ' दर्शपूर्णमासप्रश्नत्रयप्रयोगरत्नमाला पिङ्गलोपनान्न: श्रीपतिरायस्य' i.e. the Ms. belonged to one Piigala Sripati. raya.
The long beginning given in this Ms. contains historically interesting information on the succssion of Vijayanagar dynasty, though the author has in view a completely different one from the accepted order of succession in the same dynasty. It is probably, as Dr. Burnell himself observes, more correct than the four or five lists collected by Lassen (L, AK. IV., Beilage, pp. 976 ffg.).
Again, the introductory verses of this work give a clue to the size and contents of the Apastamba Kalpasūtras--since probably the oldest authority on this subject might be Cauņ. dapācārya of the 15th century.
After giving the size and contents of the Āpastamba Sūtras as given by Caandapācārya, Dr. Burnell observes on page 17 of his Catalogue as follows:
“It is thus evident that Caundappa's account is correct. One point remains to be noticed. He (Ca updappa) entirely
