प्रायेण मन्दबुद्धीनां मनुष्याणां कलौ युगे । लघुनैव प्रकारेण वक्ष्याम्यायुर्विनिश्चयम् ॥ आयुष त्रिविधं लोके पूर्णमध्याल्पनामभिः ।। तथैव त्रिविधा जेया दशा प्रश्भेषु जातके ॥ नक्षत्रगतनाडीभिः पञ्चभिः पञ्चभिः क्रमात् ।
आरभ्य चन्द्रराशिं वा लग्नं वा लग्नमानयेत् ॥ कचिच्चन्द्रः कचिल्लनं कचिन्मेषः कचिद्रविः । सर्वत्र चन्द्रमामुख्याः परे तु बलवत्तराः ॥

एवं लमद्वयं नीत्वा दीर्घमध्याल्पनिर्णयः । चरे चरस्थिरद्वन्द्वाः स्थिरे द्वन्द्वचरस्थिराः ।। द्वन्द्वे स्थिरोभयचरा दीर्घमध्याल्पनिर्णयम् । ये हि पूर्णायुषां योगा भाग्ययोगास्तु ते कचित् कचिदायुः कचिद्भाग्यं वादादुभयं कचित् (?) । लग्नेशो यदि मे लग्ने लग्नेशा तदिमे शुभे । शुभदृष्टिशुभैः वुद भाग्यक(?)
