A short poem purporting to relate the story of Cāņakya, the chief character in the Mudrārākşasa. It actually gives the story contained in the said drama. The author Ravinartaka states that be proposes to render into verse the story of Canakya which existed in prose. Beginning:
स्वभावमहितैषेः पुष्णन् विबुधसम्पदम् । ख्यापितो गीर्भिरग्र्याभिः श्रीमान्नारायणो जयेत् ॥ बुद्धिरेव जयत्येका पुंसः सर्वार्थसाधनी । य(लादेव किं किं न चक्रे चाणक्यभूसुरः ॥ चाणक्यस्य कथा. सेयं विद्यते गद्यरूपिणी । अद्य तां पद्यतां नेतुमुद्यतो रविक(न)र्तकः ॥ नयप्रयोगप्राचण्ड्यस्फुरदीराद्भुतात्मना । अनया कथया को नु मतिमानतिमाद्यति ॥
