Contains from the first stanza to the 46th stanza in the first Sarga and Sargas 7 to 18 complete, but wants the first 12 stanzas in the seventh Sarga.
The well-known Māhākāvya celebrating the combat between Arjuna and Siva disguised as a mountainoer, and the getting of the Pasupatāstra by the former from the latter: by Bhāravi. Beginning:
श्रियः कुरूणामधिपस्य पालनी प्रजासु वृत्तिं यमयुत वेदितुम् । स वर्णिलिङ्गी विदितः समाययौ युधिष्ठिरं द्वैतवने वनेचरः ॥ कृतप्रणामस्य महीं महीभुजे जितां सपनेन निवेदयिष्यतः ।
न विव्यथे तस्य मनो न हि प्रियं प्रवक्तुमिच्छन्ति मृषा हितैषिणः ।। End:
असंहार्योत्साहं जयिनमुदजं प्राप्य तरसा धरं गर्वी वोढं स्थितमनवसादाय जगतः । स्वधानां लोकानां तमुपरि कृतस्थानममरास्तपोलक्ष्म्या दीप्तं दिनकृतमिवोच्चैरुपजगुः ।।
