Same work as the one described under R.No. 899(a) of the Triennial Catalogue of MSS., Vol. I, Part I-B. The authorship of this hymn is attributed to Puşpadanta by some and to Kumārila Bhattācārya by certain other commentators. Abobala states in his commentary that Paşpadanta, a Gandharva, composed this hymn to glorify Sima wben He appeared before him in response to bis severe penances. In another commentary it is said that Puşpadanta composed this hymn in expiation of the sin of disregarding the remains of offerings made to Siva. Dēcayāmātya, another commentator, attributes it to Kumārila Bhatta whom he considers as an incarnation of Subrahmaṇya, son of Siva, End:
अहरहर नवयं धूर्जटेः स्तोत्रमेतत् पठति परमभक्तया शुद्धचित्तः पुमान् यः।
