No. 11040. नीलकण्ठस्तोत्रम्. NILAKANTHASTOTRAM. Pages, 8. Lines, 9 on a page. Begins on fol, 1501 of the MS. described unler No. 119. Complete; as found in the Vayupurana, This work is in praise of Nīlakantha 1.e., Siva, and is said to have been uttored by Brahman. Siva is called Nīlakantha because the poison which he swallowed at the time of the churning of the ocean is said to have remained in his gallet without going down and thereby iin parted a blue colour to his neck. Beginning: ___ अस्य श्रीनीलकण्ठस्तोत्रमन्त्रस्य नानाच्छन्दांसि, जैमिनिः ऋषिः, श्रीनीलकण्ठसहाशिवो देवता । अथात्मानं शिवात्मानमेकास्यं चिन्तयेद् द्विजः । त्रिणेत्रं च चतुर्बाहुं सर्वालंकारभूषितम् ।। नीलकण्ठं शशाङ्काकं व्याघ्रचर्मोत्तरीयकम् ।। End: श्रुतं मया पापहरं महाफलं निवेद्य दित्यै प्रययौ प्रभञ्जनः । अधीत्य सर्व सकलं सलक्षणं जगाम सादित्यफथं(पदं) द्विजोत्तमः ।। For Private and Personal Use Only
