देवदेवसुतं देवं जगद्विघ्नविनायकम् । हस्तिरूपं महाकायं सूर्यकोटिसमप्रभम् ॥ वामनं जटिलं कान्तं ह्रस्वग्रीवं महोदरम् ।। धूम्रसिन्दूरयुग्गण्डं प्रकटं विकटोत्कटम् ॥

इदं जप्यं च होमं च सन्ध्योपासनमेव च ॥ इष्टसिद्धिमवाप्नोति सत्यं सत्यं वदाम्यहम् ।
सर्वमङ्गलमङ्गल्यं सर्वव्याधिविनाशनम् ॥ Colophon:
इति ब्रह्माण्डपुराणे स्कन्दप्रोक्तं विनायकस्तोत्रं संपूर्णम् ॥

Complete ; as found in the Brahmatāntrika of the Brahmandapurana.
This is in praise of the goddess Gāyatri written in a peculiar kind of metre called Bhujanga prayāta ; und its due repetition is held to be efficacious in absolving a person from his sins. The goddess Gayatri seems to be no otherthan the Gāyatri prayerformula personified.
This manuscript work is said to have been transcribed by Ātukūri Mallappa for sanagavarapu Bhimanna, the copying having been completed on the 9th day of the bright fortnight of the month of Caitra in the year Nandana.
