__Begins on fol. 27a of the MS. described under No. 2907, wherein it is mentioned as Garuqastotra (Bphaspati) in the list of other works given therein.
Complete ; as found in the Skandapurapa.
Ia praise of Bphaspati, the priest and preceptor of the Dévas, and hence considered to be the master of learning. Bphaspati is also the name of the planet Jupiter. Beginning:
__ अस्य श्रीगरुड(बृहस्पति)स्तोत्रमन्त्रस्य च्यवनभार्गव ऋषिः, अनुष्टुप् छन्दः, श्रीबृहस्पतिर्देवता . . . बृहस्पतिप्रीत्यर्थे मम समस्तरक्षार्थे जपे विनियोगः । ।
बृहस्पतिं सुराचार्य सर्वदैवतपूजितम् । नमामि सततं जीवं सर्वाभीष्टफलप्रदम् ॥ बृहस्पतिः सुराचार्यो दयावान् शुभलक्षणः ।
लोकत्रयगुरुः श्रीमान् सर्वज्ञः सर्वदो विभुः ।। End:
नमस्ते वचसां नाथ वाक्पते जगतः पते ।
क्रूरग्रहैः पीडितानां मम(पाल)काय नमोऽस्तु ते ॥ Colophon:
इति श्रीस्कन्दपुराणे बृहस्पतिस्तोत्रं संपूर्णम् ॥
