A DESCRIPTIVE CATALOGUE OF
This is in praise of God Siva and consists of one hundred and eight significant names denoting Him, the repitition of which is said to have enabled Ravana to conquer his enemies. Its authorship is attributed to Brahman.

नमस्ते देवदेवेश सुरासुर (सु) पूजित । भूतभव्यमहादेव अतिपिङ्गललोचन || गणेशो लोकशंभुश्च लोकपालो महाभुजः । महदंसो महाशूलो महावासो महेश्वरः ।

सर्वभूतनिवासी च सर्वबन्धविमोचनः ॥ ब्रह्मप्रोक्तमिदं पुण्यं नामाष्टशतमुत्तमम् । जुण्य ( जप्य) ते तद्दशग्रीवः कुर्याच्छत्रुविनाशनम् ॥ गत्वा तु रावणश्चैवं परं स कमलोद्भवः । पुनरेवागमत् क्षिप्रं ब्रह्मलोकं सनातनम् ॥
