तेन पुण्यस्य लाभेन स्वर्गप्राप्तिश्च शाश्वती । इति तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा भार्यामाहूय सादरम् ॥ पुण्यं प्रदापयामास धर्मपालो दयान्वितः ।
तेनामितप्रभावेण व्रतस्य पितरौ तदा ।। End: सम्यक् ऋषीणां च तपोधनानां व्रतेन साङ्गेन मनुष्यलोके । निस्तीर्य नार्यो निहितं च पापं लोके हि यस्मिन्नुपयाति(न्ति)सौख्यम् ।। Colophon :
इति श्रीब्रह्माण्ड पुराणे ऋषिपञ्चमीव्रतं संपूर्णम् ॥
यस्य स्मृत्येत्युक्त्वा आचार्यप्रमुखान् वस्त्रादिभिः परितोष्य यथासम्भवं ब्राह्मणान् भोजयित्वा विसर्जयेत् । इष्टमित्रपुरस्सरं भोक्तव्यम् । अथ शयनब्रह्मचर्य चरेत्-इतीयती रीतिः ॥

On the manner of completing the observance of the Vrata. This is generally done at the end of an observance of seven years ; but the completion ceremony may also be performed in the beginning as well as in the middle of the poriod of observance according to the resources of the person carrying out the Vrata. Beginning:
अथ ऋषिपञ्चम्युद्यापनविधिरुच्यते । ब्रह्मोवाच
वर्षे तु सप्तमे कुर्यादुद्यापनविधिक्रियाम् । मध्य उद्यापनं कुर्याद्यथावित्तानुसारतः ॥
