On the manner of completing the Vrata mentioned above. It is prescribed that the Vrata should be observed for a period of three years. Beginning :
ईश्वर उवाच
आदौ मध्ये तथा चान्ते कुर्यादुद्यापनं व्रती । मन्नेत्रसङ्ख्यया वर्षसङ्ख्या पूर्वमुदाहृता ॥ शुद्धस्वर्णैर्निष्कपञ्चदशभिः प्रतिमाकृतिः । तस्याञ्च दक्षिणामूर्तिरूपं सवेदि कारयेत् ॥ अशक्तस्तु तदर्धेन तदर्धार्धेन वा पुनः । तद्वतस्य प्रभावेण देवैरपि सुपूजितः । आयुरारोग्यमैश्वर्य प्राप्तवान्नगरेष्वपि ॥

सूतस्य वचनं श्रुत्वा नैमिशारण्यवासिनः ।
शिवलिङ्गार्चनरता व्रतमेतत्प्रचक्रमुः ॥ Colophon :

Contains the story rogarding the performance of the Rsipan. camïvrata, and illustrates the effects of the observance of the Vrata. This Vrata in ordained for women and is to be observed on the fifth day of the bright-fortnight in the month of Bhadrapada. It consists in the worship of the seven siuges, Kasyapa, Atri, Bharad vāja, Visvā nitrn, Gautama, Jamadagni and Vasistha.
