अश्वत्थ सर्वपापानि शतजन्मार्जितानि च । दद(ह) स्व त्वं वृक्षराज सर्वैश्वर्यवतो(प्रदो)भव ॥ इति ध्यानम् । बृन्दारकैस्सदा सेव्यं शङ्खचक्रगदाधरम् । आवाहयामि वृक्षेन्द्र त्वयि नारायणं विभुम् '! आवाहनम् ।

मूलतो ब्रह्मरूपाय मध्यता विष्णुरूपिणे । अग्रतश्शिवरूपाय वृक्षराजाय ते नमः ॥ नमस्कारः ।।

On the rites connected with the completion of the Amăsomaväravrata, the observance of which is said to confer on one the blessing of having long-lived children. Beginning: श्रीभीष्म उवाच--
शृणु राजन् प्रवक्ष्यामि उद्यापनविधिक्रमम् । कृतेन येन भूयस्ते सन्ततिश्चिरजीविनी ॥ अमावास्या यदा पार्थ सोमवारेण संयुता । गृहे वाश्वत्थमुले वा उ पिनविधिं शुभम् ।। सम्यक् शुद्धिं प्रकुर्वीत गोमयेनोपलिप्य ते (च)। रङ्गवल्लयादिकं कृत्वा पद्मकिअल्ककेसरैः ॥
