चतुर्भुजां त्रिणेत्रां च सार्धचन्द्रविभूषिताम् । ध्यायेद्गौरी महादेवी चन्द्रकान्तसमप्रभाम् ॥ ध्यायामि । लोकमाते(त)मनोरम्ये सृष्टिस्थित्यन्तकारिण ।
आवाहयामि देवि त्वां मातरं शिववल्लभाम् ॥ आवाहयामि । See under number 8598 for the end.

Similar to the above. It is stated that the Vrata should be commenced on the second day of the Srāvana month and should be observed for a period of 16 years. The completion of the Vrata should be celebrated on that Sunday of the Māgha month which falls near the 7th day of the bright fortnight. Beginning:
गौरि कल्याणि वरदे कामाक्षी वीत(दीन)वत्सला । उमाया(करोम्या वाहनचैव प्रसीद सुरवन्दिते ॥ आवाहनम् । दिव्यरत्नसहस्रातिदिव्यमुक्तातिशोभितैः । चारुसिंहासनन्देविं अर्पयामि सदाशिवे ॥
