On the details connected with the repetition of the Pratyangirāmantra. The Mantra derives the other name burein given from the fact that Indrajit used this Mantra in the sacrificial ceremony which he conducted at Nikumbilā with the object of defeatiny Rama and Laksmaņa.
The following are the subjects dealt with in the various Patalas:
१. अङ्गिराप्राशस्त्यम्. ४. पापपरिहारोपायकथनम. २. राजदोषपरिहारः. ५. आथर्वणजपविधिः.
३. प्रत्यङ्गिराजपेतिहासः. ६. शत्रुपलायनम्. Beginning:
देवदेव महादेव सर्वज्ञ जगदीश्वर । केनोपायेन . . . . विविधापदि ॥ सामन्तराजपीडासु विषशस्त्राग्निपातने । परप्रयोगपीडासु सिंहव्याघ्रभयादिके ॥
दुर्गावैनायकौ मन्त्रै सिध्येते तु कलौ युगे। ताभ्यामप्यङ्गिरायास्तु मन्त्रश्शणि सिध्यति ॥ तस्मादिमं मनुं लोके ये जपन्ति नरोत्तमाः । तेषां जगत्त्रयीरक्षा शान्तिस्सञ्जायते जपात् ॥

ब्राह्मणेभ्यो ददात्येव दक्षिणाञ्च ददाति वै । एवं कृतं चेद्भूपाल सर्वत्र विजयो भवेत् ॥
