According to the colophon at the end of the work, it forms the 16th Adhyaya of the Sarabhasal vapaksirajakalpa which is a portion of the Ākāśabhairavakalpa of the Mabásaivatantra. This work is ascribed to Sankara.
The proper repetition of this Mantra which is said to be the most important of the Mantras relating to Sūlini is considered
