This Mantra is in praise of Sulinīdurgå, i.e., Durgă conceived as having a Śūla in her hand ; and its repetition is considered to be efficacious in bringing about the attainment of the four Puruşārthas or principal aims of life. Beginning :
__ अस्य श्रीशूलिनीमहामन्त्रस्य बृहत्त(म)ऋषिः, उष्णिक् छन्दः, श्रीशूलिनी दुर्गा देवता, दुं बीजं, स्वाहा शक्तिः, फट् कीलकं, श्रीशूलिनीदुर्गाप्रसादेन चतुर्विधपुरुषार्थे जपे विनियोगः । End :
वं अमृतात्मने अमृतनैवेद्यं परिकल्पयामि। सं सर्वात्मने सर्वोपचारान् समर्पयामि ।। Colophon:
