The repetition of this Mantra addressed to Vênusyamála, wlio is conceived as the presiding deity of the flute, is held to have the power to enable one to compose literary works of value. Beginning :
अस्य श्रीवेणुश्यामलामन्त्रस्य मतङ्गभगवानृषिः, अनुष्टुप् छन्दः, वेणुर्देवता, वेणुश्यामलाप्र-गः । End:
___ओं नमो भगवते ३ वेणवे मम साहित्यविद्यां प्रयच्छ स्वाहा । साहि त्यविद्याम्बादिव्यश्रीपादुकां पूजयामि नमः ।।
