In the beginning, there are 17 pages treating of the genealogy of the kings of Mysore; and the commentary begins on the 10th fol. It is a translation in Kanarese of the Sanskrit commentary called Upādhyāyanirapēkņā, the translator being one Lakşmīpati, the minister of Cikadēvarāja. The Pratīkas are taken from the Sanskrit original of the text.
