This is a portion of the Brahmanda-Purāna and treats of the holiness of the country bordering on the Pinäkini river--the Pennār of the Nellore district in the Madras Presidency--and of the shrines therein. Described on page 1246 of the India Office Library Catalogue (I.O.) Beginning:
वन्दे देवेशमानन्दज्ञानदेहं रमापतिम् । . ऋषीणां मनसा ध्येयं सर्वतीर्थनिवासिनम् ॥ निमिर्नाम महातेजा गोदावर्यास्तटे शुभे । पप्रच्छ मुनिशार्दू वसिष्ठं ब्रह्मनन्दनम् ।। यज्ञार्थ समुपायान्तं निमे राज्ञो महात्मनः ।
नारसिंह(ह)सुतायास्तु राजन् द्विगुणिताधमा । पिनाकिनी महापुण्या भीमरथ्या समा मता ॥
